OK so I've noticed something (that i have been noticing since i first started playing the game when it was first released for consoles) is that in terms of Controllers for consoles, the aiming is kinda clunky and isn't very smooth... This is, and has been, a big issue as i can never get just the right shot when it counts (either there's to much sensitivity or to little)
My suggestion for this to at least help with some of the sensitivity issues is to have different slider options that that can pertain to aiming.
1. Overall "Look Sensitivity" which will be both hip-fire and just general looking around, when not aiming down sites.
(This is already an option in the game but makes this a bit difficult with only one sensitivity option)
2. Aim Down Sights (ADS)- This will be a modifier option, with center (100%) being the same as the overall look sensitivity.
- Going to the right (101% or higher) will make the sensitivity higher, and will make it move faster.
- Where as going to the left (99% or lower) will make it less sensitive and slower.
3. Scoped ADS (Sniper Rifle Scope) - This will have its own separate modifier that way when using ADS can be adjusted, being higher or lower then the "Look Sensitivity" (similar to the ADS sensitivity). Using a slider for sensitivity by going right for more (101% +), or going left for less (99% -).
*4. This will be more for when the new scope and optics mods come to the consoles (when ever that may be). Each magnification should receive its own slider as well.
(This part is just based on what i have seen in the current dev blogs (March 18, 2018))
- 1x/2x optics would share the same sensitivity as the ADS modifier so that shouldn't need one
- 3x+ would have their own sensitivity modifiers following the same rules before (Center / 100% being the same as the "Look Sensitivity" and Left / Right (+/- %) being higher or lower respectively).
This will allow players to set the desired sensitivities for everything rather then having just one sensitivity that, at best, is only good for looking around. It would allow for players to aim better as well so firing weapons can be more then hoping to get a good head shot. This problem may only pertain to controllers however, as i don't know if its the same for Mouse users.
Hopefully these suggestions will help though for anyone else that may have a similar problem.
