You presented this in the discussion for modders, so are you looking for a mod that adds more textures? If so, I've heard there are some, but I've not tried them myself.
If this was a suggestion for TFP, then they look for those under the Pimp Dreams section.

The Pyro paints mod is pretty good. Lots of new wood and plaster textures. I especially like the "rough plaster" texture for doing stucco exteriors.

Have you seen them do that? I can't remember them ever doing that unless it was directly related to a specific mod. There are plenty of suggestions in Pimp Dream that are definitely never going to end up in vanilla. I don't see them moving anything here for that reason.
Yes, that's a good mod for additional paints. It has some good options. I use it all the time after I found it.
