[A20] Server crash everyday, Linux

I run a dedicated server on a notebook with ubuntu:

(8gb ram, pentium b960 2.20GHz, SSD) EAC on

Mods:

- AGF-A20HUDPlus1.03

- AGF-Backpack72Plus1.00

- Botman

- Allocs_CommonFunc

- Allocs_CommandExtensions

The server crashes amost every night near 3am, with the "Aborted (core dumped)" usually when no players are arround, and the logs always end with:

and sometimes the server disapear from the server browser.

I dont know if it had something to do with the garbage collector.

Early in your log there’s an error that occurs frequently:  [NM] Data received bad!

Now this message can be from several things and one of them is a reported bug that’s being worked on. You can try a few things before deciding it’s the reported bug though. Be sure the 7 Days folder is excluded from your antivirus/antimalware. It is not enough to just turn it off as in the casw of Windows Defender, it doesn’t completely turn off so create an exclusion. Secondly, make sure all the ports needed to host a server are properly open/forwarded. Check with an online port scanner to double check that they are indeed forwarded. We’ve seen instances where the ISP block the forwarding of ports and also seen routers that say a port is open but the scanner finds them still closed. If you still see that error after doing these two things, then you may need to wait for the bug to be fixed. If someone else has any other ideas, I’m sure they’ll chime in.

Check your swapfile size. If it's 2Gb, increase it to 8Gb.

Don't use wireless if you are.

This line from your log makes me think all the things from A19 were not cleaned out properly.

I dont know what other files i miss, I deleted the whole server directory, and the save world on the .local/share folder. 

Also i just upgraded the swapfile from 2 to 8gb.

I will update if i have another crash.

If you delete the file and validate you will get the correct one.

There's a known issue that some player names can cause problems if the name includes unusual, non ascii characters.

Like this one.

PlayerName='p1xejo ツ


See if that player is willing to change their name to something simple like "Bugsy" to test.

Also still seeing the "last version played A19" thing which is an indication that things still need a cleanup.

There are network errors, but I think that's a known issue that is being worked on, though it could also indicate something weird going on in your network connection.

Also, that's a lot of work for that poor little cpu. Is it possible the thing is overheating? What % use is it running at when you're playing?

And edit this down to "6".

GamePref.ServerMaxAllowedViewDistance = 12
