A20 on M1 Mac - Use Rosetta for workaround!

I know I'm one of the weirdos playing 7DTD on a Mac, but here I am. Also, since there is no Mac category, I'm placing this under "PC"--sorry for that.

Has anyone been able to get the new build running on an M1 Mac? I just get a black screen, a beach ball and then back to desktop. I've wiped the install completely and redownloaded and reinstalled. I'm more than willing to be a guinea pig for the Devs for their Mac builds.

NOTE: I was able to run the Mac build on my Intel MacBook Pro (the last model before the M1) without issue, so this appears to be M1 specific.

Also unable to run on my M1 MacBook Pro / macOS Monterey. Exact same thing. Black screen - 7DTD cursor, then ball, then crash.

Ran a19 without any issues. a20 runs on prior model (intel i9 without issues as well)

Note to anyone arriving here. Updating to A20.1 requires a reinstall of the game (but no need to clean old game saves). No matter what you do, setting "Open in Rosetta" on the 7DaysToDie.app file does not stick until you reinstall and re-select "Open in Rosetta" (close the game and steam; go to the game folder; right-click on 7DaysToDie.app; select "Get Info"; tick "Open in Rosetta").
