A20 fails to start on macOS 10.12.6

Trying to launch it from STEAM gives no result. For some reason, only launching the game manually gives me the option to report a crash. From macOS' crash reporter, I get this:

application requires at least OS X version 10.13.0 (10.13.0), but is being run on 10.12.6 ( 10.12.6/16G2136), and so is exiting.

No log file is created.

Notably, this is low priority, as I only wanted to run this game here to have things happen while I'm at work. I probably wouldn't even get any sensible performance (tons of cores, tons of RAM, but 1 GB VRAM and a 10yo GPU), assuming it'd run at all.

Still, STEAM lists minimal requirements as "macOS 10.12" (threads in the "read this first" post outright claim 10.6...), which is clearly no longer true.

There is an issue with the current version of Unity and Mac PC's. Especially the ones with the new CPU's. You are advised to run it via Rosetta. (I'm pretty sure this is listed in the Patch notes also.)

This recommendation is only for M1 macs. OP is running Intel.

In my defense, the only Mac I own is an old 512k.

I can't. As-is, I would need to get a new compatible GPU in order to move past 10.12.6, and that's not an option for me right now.
