What is everyone using for this setting?

We want a fairly big map and Navezgane is way too small..

yeah right now even on a server hosted by Blue fang max map size is 4096 which is small like 5 med size towns

 
I've been asking the same thing. I tired 8192 and that seemed a bit small too (we usually have 8 players). I dont know if the size of the world affects performance or just the file size for the world download when you join either.

 
Bluefang Hosting information:

For 20 or more slots you can get a RWG world size up to 8192

For 30 or more slots you can get a RWG world size up to 12288

For 40 or more slots you can get a RWG world size up to 16384

Also they changed the minimum world sizes will be 6144 but you have to contact support and request it

currently their command line editor has not been updated for the new map policy so you can't change it yourself.

If you want a bigger map anything above 8k could take 30mins-2hrs to generate based on computer specs.

To generate it go to New Game

Game Name: (Insert Name)

Game World: New Random World

Click Advanced Generation there you can choose 3 options if you sift through the forums you can find

information on how to make a custom size that isn't one of those

 
I used 8192 and I notice more lag than when I played on Navesgane. Is there a size you can use between 4096 and 8192? I use Host Havoc for my dedicated server.
