topic says all :) i am thinking buy new graphic card maybe GTX1050 but how much VRAM do i need to play this game smoothly?

GTX 1050 is quite weak for today's gaming standards (equivalent to GTX 660 / GTX 750ti / R9 270 / R7 370).

My recommendation would be to spend the extra money and get a GTX 1060, even if it's just the 3GB version which is plenty for this game as last I checked (Alpha 16), this game only used 2GB of VRAM. Though I do hope someone corrects me if Alpha 17 uses more VRAM.

are u serius?? 1050 not enough for this game? i just buy 4gb 1050, i hope i can play it without lags..

amnd btw my old gpu is radeon 7850 2gb so much improving :D

The game taxes the CPU more than it does the GPU. A 1050 should be able to run the game with decent graphics if your CPU is up to the task.

GTX 1050 might be fine for the game on medium to lower settings, but it's not considered high end graphics. GTX 1060 is basically twice the performance... so it's a huge jump, so it's worth it.

Also, you basically wasted a lot of money if you went from Radeon 7850 to a GTX 1050, since the performance between both cards are very similar (tiny bump up, that's it).

I don't know why ppl keep saying that. I mean, yes, the game is demanding on the CPU, but it isn't demanding in the way ppl think. This game demands a lot on the per core performance... so having 8/16 core CPU doesn't mean anything to this game cuz your CPU will still idle at 15% or lower while playing. This game just demands recent generation CPUs at high GHz, that's it. So a recent generation quad core (which costs barely anything) should in theory give the same result as an i7 / Ryzen 8/16 core CPU (unless you're streaming or recording in which case you do need the core count). Graphics on the other hand, will still work ■■■■■■■ bringing in the fps even if it's an RTX 2080ti.

I said it because it's true. I didn't feel like explaining the how or why in great detail.
