PC A17.1 look stutter with lots of zombies around

A17.1 seems to run a fair bit better for me then previous versions of 17- Have most settings maxed and doing a solid 50+ but I get a lot of look stutter when there is 15+ zombies chasing after me in a building (i was on the roof shooting down at them).

I turned all graphics to min or off and my res down to 1600x900 or whatever, and it didn't even make the problem better- looking around I get a lot of stutter making aiming a clunky experience. As soon as I started killing some of them off, it ran like butter again.

1060gtx (6gb vram) and i5 quad core, with 16gb ram and ssd.

Anyone else running into this issue?

I only played it for a short time so far. But I did notice some heavier stuttering with zombie movement. I couldnt put my finger on it, since my FPS was great (better that before I think) but ya it seemed clunkier/slower (not sure how to describe it) interacting with zombies.
