# ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 UPDATE TIME!!! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
## . 7DVR Version 3.2! .
---------------------------------------------------------------
OKAY! This one has definitely taken longer than we hoped! 😅 We've been steadily fixing things and adding new features, but we kept running into bugs that were big enough we didn't feel comfortable releasing. But now, with 7D 2.0 just around the corner, we think we have a great new version of 7DVR ready to serve as the last big build for 7D 1.4 and all its amazing mods and overhauls!

**And with that, Kaaliba and Nephilim are incredibly proud to present 7DVR 3.2!!!!**

Here's what's new:
- **SUPERSHARDS!!!** What the heck is a SuperShard? Glad you asked! SuperShards is a complete re-write of the 7DVR UI. The new version has a ton of benefits, including *extreme* customization of all VR UI pieces. Want to put your compass on your hand? No problem! Want your main UI bigger or smaller? You can do this! Want your health/stamina to be always visible in front of you? You do you! Each piece of UI (a "Supershard") is fully customizable. Here are the main improvements:
- Extremely customizable, even allowing for different "sets" of UI pieces for different overhaul mods.
- Out-of-the-box compatibility with most overhauls and UI mods., and it's possible for users to add compatibility for new overhauls that we haven't seen!
- No "cut off" UI pieces or funky overlaps anymore. See every bit of UI perfectly.
- Small (very small) performance improvement compared with the classic UI!
- Less random UI issues in VR. For example, you can now paint objects through the UI (was impossible before).
- Automatically adjusts for left-handed mode!
- UI is no longer affected by post-processing (no more "blinding" UI pieces)
- **Escape from Tarkov Compatibility!** We now fully support the EFT set of mods. This includes the gun packs (Extraction Pack) as well as the full overhaul mod. Experience 100s of insanely precise and beautiful guns, ammo types, and weapon attachments. This is a must-see for anyone with a passion for guns.
- **Rebirth Compatibility!** This is one of the most incredible new overhaul mods to come out in some time. The overhaul features a new game mode, custom quests, animal and demon companions, custom weapons/skill trees, and oh so much more.
- **IZY Compatibility!** IZY is one of the most well-known (and most requested) gun packs for 7D. Similar to Escape from Tarkov, the pack includes hundreds of fantastic, incredibly detailed guns and ammo. IZY can be installed with other mods, and it is included by default in Rebirth.
- **Afterlife Compatibility!** Welp. Shortly after we advertised Afterlife compatibility in a previous release, Afterlife was updated and broke things for 7DVR. It works again! For those unfamiliar, Afterlife is also one of the newest, most-incredible new overhaul mods that totally transforms the game!
- Dynamic Object Quality 4.0! We've added a ton of new "Advanced" options (in 7DVR Options->Debug) to give precise control over how Dynamic Object Quality works. This is great for folks who want like to ensure, for example, NO pop-ins at the cost of some performance. Similarly, users can customize this to ensure better performance by slightly decreasing visual quality.
- Major Under-the-Hood Changes: 7DVR uses BepInEx, a tool that allows us to gain control the moment the game is launched. Unfortunately, BepInEx became incompatible with the latest versions of 7D when certain mods are used. To fix this, we wrote a custom version of BepInEx that now is fully compatible! This means we still have the control we need to make VR magic happen, we support more mods than ever, and we have somewhat future-proofed ourselves! Woooo!!!

- Fixed compatibility with SMX Menu mod. 7D 1.0 broke our compatibiliity with this, making it difficult to use the menus and play overhauls like War3zuk. All fixed!
- Fixed death UI bug: The eternal void of death has been defeated! We finally found a way to put the respawn UI right in front of you after death. Phew!
- Fixed gun laser attachment: It turns out that 7D 1.4 completely broke our code for how the laser attachment on guns works. This is fixed now!
- Added Vehicle Turn Speed Option: This highly requested feature allows you to reduce turn speed. Great for better precision and especially for users with controller drift.
- Updated 7DVR Options: Cleaned up some old options and added new ones for SuperShards and more! There is even an option now to enable all the crazy Video options that don't work well with VR (for those who like to live dangerously).
- Updated SteamVR and Unity Packages: Fixed a few minor problems resulting from old packages.
- Cleaned up logging: It turns out that recent versions of 7D have been causing our code to spam tons of info into the TFP log file. This is all fixed, and we hope it brings a bit of performance improvement.
- Lots of other little bug fixes and minor improvements!

Small but important note: Customization of UI using SuperShards is a bit advanced at the moment. We'll publish full instructions in the 7DVR user guide. Our goal is to make it MUCH easier to customize things in future versions of 7DVR. 😍

GIANT THANKS to all of our Testers. 7DVR would be much, much buggier without their incredible work! And ESPECIALLY GIANT THANKS to @dragonzheartz, @jugonsolitario, and @wealthypixelcollector for painstakingly calibrating the absolutely insane number of weapons for EFT, IZY, and Rebirth!!! Thanks to them, we have **HUNDREDS** of new weapons all calibrated and ready to play! ❤️ 🤩

That's all for now! Once 2.0 is available, we'll do our best to release a new version of 7DVR for that as quickly as possible.

Tons of love & thanks to you all! NOW GET BACK TO BONKING!!!! 💥 💥

If i were you, i would not focus on vanilla, but gradually began to adapt the game specifically for VR, creating my own mod, redoing all aspects of the gameplay.
I think you yourself understand that there is no way to make a VR out of a flat game.

Do you have any similar ideas?

of course everybody has different ideas and standards, but I'll say this has ALMOST everything I would want out a VR version of the game... once bows work more like bows instead of guns, and once the scopes on the guns work properly it's basically there. The game DOES have a lot of buttons to map to controllers, but once you get used to them it eventually becomes second nature.

Personally I think when developers spin off the game to a VR only version they forget that a lot of the fun of these games is the playing with a group of friends, and few of us VR gamers have an entire group of friends that ALL want to play in VR. keeping it cross play means I can play in VR while everyone else I play with is flat. My more advanced friends can install the mod so they see me point "over there" but even that is optional. I can join any (non EAC) server and play and be just one of the players.

Yes, i hadn't thought about compatibility with non-VR....
I myself prefer only the singleplayer, so I didn't even think about it....
Then yes, vanilla is needed.
