pleasssee please please please i want so bad who else wants even if i had to play in 480p in handheld id be happy love this game to death and no i dont want a steam deck thats yucky

Personally, I don't think the device will have the hardware to support the game.
You should set your current game to 480p and give that a try. You might re-think things.

The console isn't out yet, so the TFP probably haven't even had the chance to test the performance with 7 days on the S2.
The Long Dark had a lot of issues with the S1, which is a less demanding game. But it would be nice for a Nintendo console to have power again like in the GameCube days.

Get decent phone, use remote play.
Problem solved, no need to wait for Switch 2.
(Or to demand a further downgraded port from the dev's)
