PC 1.0 is a definitive save?

Will it be necessary to restart the game after each update? Like in previous alphas or since it is version 1.0 will it be a definitive save?

 
AFAIK, they'll try to maintain compatibility, but there's never a guarantee. And if they're adding something like potential bandit POIs, that will likely require a new map, just to get the content at the very least.

Rarely, if at all.  It can be a good idea just to avoid any potential bugs, but in general, you will not need to.  However, keep in mind that some changes or additions (like new POI) will not appear until you start a new game or a use a new map.  Even so, they aren't guaranteeing no restarts will be required.  The game is not gold (finished) yet.  Once it is (in 1-2 years based on the road map), then there shouldn't ever be a reason you need to restart if they put out a patch other than to get new content like POIs.
