Quality of Life

Quality of Life 2.0.1.2

No permission to download
Hello, all. Today, I am releasing some new features for the Quality of Life mod.
  • The Dire Wolf sounds are slightly deeper (as deep as I can make them).
  • Added loading screen hint, and instructions in description, for letting down bows ("un-drawing" them) without firing.
  • Recipes for terrain blocks require as much clay as you can harvest from them, to avoid the "infinite dirt" exploit. (This solution is not perfect, since tools and perks can increase harvest counts, but it's better than vanilla.)
  • When dropped, many more items now show appropriate models. For example, dropping a meat stew shows a bowl of stew. Not all items have an appropriate vanilla model, but many do. There is a compatibility patch with Food Spoilage, so the new canned goods from that mod also show the appropriate can models.
The changes are already merged to GitLab, so if you re-download the mod using the same link, you should get the latest version. The new version is 2.0.1.2, and it has been tested with vanilla versions 2.0 and 2.5.

As always, this mod should be safe to install (or remove) from existing saves. Please let me know if you run across any issues.

Thanks!
In the spirit of the "Bell go Bong" mod, I included piano sounds in Quality of Life.

When damaged, pianos make a "piano hit" sound. They make a separate "piano destroyed" sound when they are destroyed. (They must be damaged or destroyed, so unfortunately it doesn't work with the piano in Jen's church.)

The sounds are vanilla (pitched differently), so the mod is still XPath only and can be installed on servers without clients needing to install the mod.

The download link should get you the latest version.

Enjoy!
This is now updated for 2.0 stable.

New features:
  • Harvesting parking meters now gives cash, not casino tokens.
  • When church bells are struck, they make a "ding" sound. It's not as good as the "Bells Go Bong" mod, but it's the best I can do while keeping this mode server-side. It is also compatible with that mod, so you don't have to choose one over the other.
Please let me know if there are any issues, or if you have any recommendations for uncontroversial quality-of-life improvements that can be done server-side only.
