LittleRedSonja Ammunition Recycling 1.8.6

This is a very simple mod that allows you to recover 80% of the resources from unwanted ammunition in a very easy straightforward way.

You open the ammo and recover the materials in the WORKBENCH.
If you have the optional "Custom Ammo Bench Add-On" installed you will disassemble the ammo in the "Ammo Recycling Bench" instead. You will get a package, OPEN IT and you will get your materials back.

No schematics or levels in crafting skills needed.

Crafting time and exact amount of resources that you get back are adjusted after cost and crafting time of the original ammunition, ammo complexity, quality and rarity, and if ammunition bundles exists or not, to make it balanced and prevent exploits.

Disassembling more complex types of ammunition, such as rockets, takes more time (but they will not explode, I promise ).

It includes all the Vanilla ammo, but it also adds support for the majority of ammo and weapon mods, and for many overhauls.

Some of the fully supported mods are "Izayo Weapons" mod, "Escape from Tarkov" overhaul, "EFT Extraction" mod, "District Zero" overhaul, "Server side weapons", "Pant's Weapon Pack", "The Wasteland" overhaul, "Firearms Expansion 5", "Rebirth" overhaul, "Oakraven Ammo Press", "Extended Ammo", "Steel Ammunition" and more!

If you want support for any other popular weapons/ammo/overhaul just let me know and I will add it if possible .


Optional ADD-ON Custom Ammo Recycling Bench: I have added an optional Add-On, that includes a custom made Ammo Recycling Bench. If you install it you will recycle the ammunition in that new bench instead, freeing the workbench to craft other things. The new bench is crafted in the workbench. It is a 1x1 bench, and it can be placed on top of any block at any height, so you can decorate your base with it however you want. Unlike the main mod, which is server-side, the add-on requires install in both server and player computer, since it adds custom assets. It is optional, and not required to use the mod, just a little extra nice detail that I wanted to add in case you can use it.

Frequently asked questions:

1- Is your mod compatible with X, Y or Z mod? : Yes, as far as I know my mod is compatible with the vast majority of other mods for 7DTD, including of course all my other mods as long as they do not remove the vanilla ammunition. A lot of popular mods and overhauls have also built-in support, so they are compatible even if they delete the vanilla ammunition. If you find a mod or overhaul that is not compatible try renaming my mod folder so the game load it last (for example z_LittleRedSonja_AmmoRecycling). That solves incompatibility problems most of the time. If a mod is incompatible even then, please let me know and I will see if a compatibility patch can be made.

2- Can the mod be used server side only?: Yes, the mod can be used both server side only (so if the server where you play have it installed you do not need to install it yourself) or client side (if you play solo instead of multiplayer then you install the mod as usual). The only exception is the add-on with the custom ammo bench, that one requires server + player side install.

3- Can you add X, Y or Z ammunitions from X, Y or Z mod?: I will be happy to add other ammunitions included in other mods. Just let me know what ammunitions and what mod and I will add them to Ammunition Recycling.

4- Do I need any of the "supported mods" to use "Ammunition Recycling"?: No. This mod has no other dependencies or requirements. The supported mods are just that, "supported", and are not required to use the mod.
