Food Spoilage and Preserved Goods

Food Spoilage and Preserved Goods 2.0.2.0

No permission to download
I am pleased to announce a new version to the Food Spoilage mod. This version introduces compatibility patches with other mods, and fixes some bugs related to vanilla version 2.5 updates.

Compatibility patches:
  • IzPrebuilt - Learning By Doing
  • ShadowOsmium - Just Cook It
Bug fixes:
  • New canned foods are now integrated with the 2.5+ smell system
  • Foods with jars are now integrated with the 2.5+ jar system
  • Recipes for canned food use resourceScrapIron and not unit_iron (no idea why I did that in the first place)
  • Mega Crush no longer spoils
  • Snowballs spoil again (fixed issue where I was relying on an old implementation of SCore)
I also tested these changes with the vanilla 2.0 version, and as far as I can tell, it all still works.

Thanks!
This mostly fixes issues that were found when testing Food Spoilage with version 2.5. However, the changes were also verified with version 2.0, so it should work with any 2.x version.

Changes and fixes:

  • Biome "smoothies" do not spoil. (This includes things that were "smoothies" that became something else in 2.3.)
  • Mushrooms (normal & radiated) spoil to fertilizer, not rotten flesh.
  • 2.5+: raw meat bundles spoils 5x slower than raw meat.
  • 2.5+: honey tea spoils like other drinks.
There should not be any need to start a new game.

The changes are pushed to GitLab, so if you visit the download link again, you should get the latest version.
New features for 2.x:
  • Updated icons for new canned goods and blueberry preserves
  • Added first-person prefabs/meshes for new canned goods
  • Show 2.x jar prefabs/meshes for IPA and preserved blueberries
  • Added pickup/place sounds
  • Localization additions and fixes
  • Added "hard" tag to powered fridges and coolers if Bad Medicine is installed
  • Included source files and 1.x images, in case anyone wants those
  • Updated README
Important note about SCore

The SCore versions must match the minor version of the vanilla game. This means if you are still on 2.0, you will need a version of SCore that starts with 2.0; and the same goes for 2.1.

Some of the vanilla C# code changed between 2.0 and 2.1, and SCore needed to change with it.

If you are still on 2.0, here is a link to the last SCore 2.0 version (2.0.24.1245):
https://github.com/SphereII/SphereII.Mods/releases/download/2.0.24.1245/0-SCore-2.0.24.1245.zip

The vanilla game is still on 2.1 as of this writing, so getting the latest SCore should work with that version.

This only applies to SCore. The Food Spoilage mod, itself, works with both 2.0 and 2.1.
