WalkerSim2

WalkerSim transforms the way zombies and hordes behave in 7 Days to Die.
Instead of relying on random spawns, it runs a persistent simulation of zombie activity across the world.
In this system, zombies — referred to as agents — exist and move within a virtual 2D world that mirrors the actual game map.

These agents do not interact with the player or the game until conditions are right for them to be spawned, creating a world that feels much more alive and reactive.

How Does It Work?

At the heart of WalkerSim is a virtual 2D simulation that represents the loaded 7 Days to Die world.
When the game starts, WalkerSim generates thousands of virtual agents based on the map size and configured population density.

These agents roam the virtual 2D world by following simple, configurable behaviors. Examples include:

- Favoring roads and paths
- Grouping together in herds
- Staying near Points of Interest (POIs)
- Wandering freely based on environmental factors

Agents move constantly within the simulation, completely independent of whether players are nearby.
Only when they come close to a player will they cross into the real game world as actual zombies.

7 Days to Die changed the Mod API, for game version 1.4 use the version 0.9.7, and for 2.0 and newer use 0.9.8

I can't wait to see how you develop this mod I love the Idea alone.
OMG! This is what we all want in the game. Zombies that make you keep your head on a swivel. Don't think, just get this mod, you will absolutely love it!!
Much less predictable zombie location, love it. Seems that when first enabled there are ton of zombies to deal with, almost endless. Seems to have calmed down after a while? Maybe I happened to be a location with a lot of zombies.
Actually makes you have to think about retreating rather than fighting zombies. Same with using guns over melee. Should be vanilla. If you want a TWD type experience, give this a try.
WalkerSim makes such a huge difference to the game that you have to wonder why this isn't part of the base game.

WalkerSim can be configured to be exactly what you want it to be, occasional large wandering groups? check, individual zombies everywhere? check, a combination of both? check.

Get it, single or multiplayer and you won't go back to vanilla!
Excellent mod. ...anyone remember when this zombie game actually has zombies in it? I do. And so does this mod author.

Imagine streets filled with zombies, cities teeming with zombies, forests...

This mod keeps you on your toes and is very configurable.

No more "gee, I bet there's a zombie in that closet or on that rafter" only encounters.
