Console Version 3.0.1 icebather trophy

So Im going for the plat for this game the only one im missing is the icebather club.
I read online that it only worked on the 1.4 version. I tried everything with red tea 100% wet and no clothes
 
I believe you mean The Polar Bare Club. You need to have a temperature of 0 and be 100% wet so you should go to the snow biome for this one. Bonus if you do it at night because it gets pretty cold.

Once you’re in the snow biome, find a body of water and fully submerge yourself then take off your clothes and wait. Red Tea and Yucca Juice will help bring down your temperature.

Afaik, it still works in V3.0.

yeah as i said i tried that already i was at -30 C while under water 100% wet no clothes on and i drank red tea and waited in the water for probably 10min same for my friend who plays on pc :/
 
I started a single player game. Fully fresh noob character and did exactly what LittleNightma said. Got the achievement in februari.

In 2.x it still worked. Just getting wet in snow bione is not enough, you need to get high (cold air at altitude, high wind chill factor?) to drop your temperature low enough.

I was pretty sure they removed any altitude based temperature a long time ago. But yes, the temperature on the left side of the screen is what matters, not the temperature on the top of the screen. But without clothing items (not armor, but clothing) or temp mods, they should probably be the same.

Anyhow, if you (the OP) thinks this is a bug, post it to the Bug Reports forum and they will look into it. I know you can't show a log from console, but if you can get a screenshot (even a picture from your phone) that shows your temperature, that would probably help them. If you don't think it's a bug but just need help figuring it out, posting in the Support forum might get you more assistance from TFP than posting about it here.

I got my achievement years ago and on PC, so I can't tell you if it's working or not in 3.x on console and have no way to test.

yeah my body temp was at -30.9 the one on the top was at -10

I will take a swing at this, but its pretty much what "LittleNightma" said.


Historically, a"Polar Bear Swim", "plunge" or "dip" are often a New Year's Day tradition in numerous communities across the world. The purpose is to submerge yourself in cold water during sub freezing temperatures.

TFPs "Polar Bare" Achievement (see what they did there?) normally means:

1) remove all armor and clothing (and maybe even snow gear protection now, if you are playing with biome progression on)

2) submerge your character in water (swimming and holding your breath, not just 100% wet) in the snow biome

3) reach whatever low core temperature is the target (which may take time).

All of these conditions need to be completed simultaneously.

Then again, like others I completed the achievement on PC years ago...
 
I just tested it in V3.0.1. I went to the snow biome and submerged myself in water and got the achievement within two minutes. It wasn't even night either. Not sure if this would even change anything but you might want to check that you have temperature enabled in your sandbox settings.
