I'd much rather just have reading the same schematic multiple times unlock higher quality recipes (with increased material costs).

Yeah, a lot of us want some way to upgrade and/or craft higher tier mods. That last response from TFP on that was from schwanz9000, who said they don't have plans for anything related to that. Hopefully that will change because it's just kind of pointless having different levels if you have no way to get the higher levels beyond RNG chance. And although you will find some Q6 mods, the chances of finding a specific Q6 mod that you want is very low unless it is being sold at a trader. And for those who disable traders, it becomes about as likely as winning the lottery.
