Allow to pick-up and Move the Storage Boxes

As the title says, it would be great to be able to pick up and move the storage box.

We can already move workstations (which makes total sense), there's no reason to not be able to pick up the storage boxes.

Thank you.

As long as you can't move them when there is something in them, I'm fine with that.

they are so cheap to make, and if you don't want to spend iron or steal, then just make more wood crates.
With wood, I agree. It's easy to quickly destroy them and place new ones. But if you did upgrade to iron or steel already and then want to move them, unless you have a decent tool to destroy the original, it's a pain, even if you don't consider the 10 forged iron for iron upgrade or 10 forged iron + 10 forged steel for the steel upgrade to be a big deal.

But that's why I build things the way I want before I do any upgrades to the crates. It's easy enough to replace the wooden ones if I decide I want to move things around. Even so, being able to move them would not be a bad thing as long as you can't do it when anything is inside.

That's what my server friends do. They litter the place with wooden storage boxes. I'm the weirdo and upgrade the few boxes I want, and I'd like to be able to move mine sometimes.

I'm happy to only move things if they are empty. makes sense to me too.

Also, it's about having consistency... some things you can move, others you don't, it's a guessing game that has no reason to happen.

Not being able to move building blocks, if it pains me... I understand. But furniture, decoration, workstations, planters, etc... doesn't make much sense to me, especially since some of them you can already pick up

It's not that much of a guessing game... workstations can be moved with a land claim. A few other things that are intended to be temporary can be moved, like torches, which do not require a land claim to move. Chairs and plants can be moved and placed as well and also don't require a land claim so you can grab them and bring them with you if you want. That's pretty much it, I think. I suppose you can also count farm plots since you can destroy them and they'll appear in your inventory (crops as well).

Regardless, I do think the ability to move empty storage crates is a good thing. And I would support the ability to move a building block of any level (wood through steel) if moved within 15-30 seconds of being placed. I don't build with anything other than plain building blocks that can be moved because it's a pain to remove a steel block that gets misplaced even if I have the best equipment in the game. At the same time, you can't allow moving stuff without a time limit or you could just move all the blocks from a POI. Even if moving them required a land claim, you can drop one at a POI and them move all the blocks if you wanted. A timer allows fixing accidentally misplaced blocks, which is the biggest need. Moving blocks later because you want to redesign your base would just have to remain as it is... destroy the blocks.

All I have to say is that after playing other games which allow you to move storage boxes, even with items, I'm fully in favor of it.

Being able to move them while they still hold items is nice, but I can understand why that would be problematic. In most other games that allow you to do this, you are technically carrying the box in your hands, meaning you cannot place it in your inventory and can only carry one at a time. In some cases, they even slow down your character movement. They'd obviously have to change the mechanics of storage boxes to do that, but it would be nice.

All in all, if the game allowed you to pick up empty boxes, that would be a win in my mind.
