Stealth Fix: Trigger Plates, A most important toggle

As a humble stealth archer build, I would like to PLEASE suggest to the powers that be...

Please allow a toggle for POI Trigger Plates.

I have not played Stealth reliably since those trigger plates were installed... I always end up having to re-spec.

Please and thank you!

Potential Options:
- No Plates (Trigger plates do not exist.)
- Highest Tier Only (The hardest POI's have trigger plates, but not the lower tiers.)
- All Plates (Every POI has trigger plates.)
- Spawning Only Plates (Plates that spawn zombies work, but plates do not Alert zombies to player's location.)
- Waking Only Plates (Plates designed to wake zombies do so. Plates do not create or spawn zombies.)

This keeps all the current functionality, while allowing players to tweak issues they have with stealth.

The issue is real.

I fear this is more than just a toggle. This is really a sizeable feature change. Those trigger volumes link to things like zombie volumes and minscripts that would be orphaned if the trigger weren't there. It would also have to change volume behaviors and minscripts would need alternative behavior options.

As a stealth/archer player myself, its only the Tier 5s that suffer. Stealth is completely viable in Tiers 0-4 and still has its uses in a Tier 5, but the nature of Tier 5 major encounters involves advanced stealth techniques that often lead to zombies getting lost and then players being unable to complete missions. They also overwhelm players who don't retreat and restealth, but that can be argued to be a player issue.

Still toggles related to the effectiveness of stealth would let players adapt the game to their desired styles.

So, overall, I can +1 the sentiment, though I doubt the details of implementation are simple.

Can’t the assassin set or sneak books make them go back to inactive even with triggers?

Yes, if you break contact, they can lose track of anyone given time. The assassin set lowers that time period.

That said, some players don't know that technique. Others don't consider that compelling stealth play. Personally, I like stealth and I think that is fine depending on how frequently I'm called on to do it. An entire POI of flee and restealth gets tiring, and minscripts with multiple flee and restealth experiences gets tiring when the zombies wander far from their volumes, but only Tier 5s can start to feel that way.
