New destroyed POI

If I could ask for any POI types to be more varied this is it! Destroyed POI. Burnt POI in the Burnt Forest, and we need more bombed out broken destroyed POI in the Wasteland. I don't know if this is new, or I just found it for the first time, but it FITS SO WELL :) Love seeing this. PLEASE move in this direction regarding new POI. We don't have nearly enough broken and destroyed buildings.

Sorry, but I disagree. Remnants are just a waste of map space, I'd happily get rid of them all.
I agree as far as remnants. I completely ignore remnants. They are a waste of space. And I think they are mostly in the game to cut down on performance problems in towns, which isn't really a good reason, imo.

However, there are some regular POI that aren't remnants but are partially destroyed. Those are good. I wouldn't mind seeing more of them, though they tend to be more repetitive to me than other POI, so I wouldn't want too many of them.

Oh, true. They're...okay. They tend to be somewhat less linear than other POIs, which is good on one hand, but bad in that it's much easier to miss things.

I do love the Stand Tower, though...

I can partly agree and disagree with the idea that Tier 0's are wasted content. If you're only into doing quests, then they're just taking up space, but if you're exploring they're just lighter content, potential bases, places that provide cover during a storm.

That said, I have in the past proposed a type of mission for Tier 0's where once you start it the POI resets and you get a count-down timer to make some preparations before you get a horde-like experience.

I have also proposed that some higher-tier buried treasure quests get put underneath Tier 0 POIs.

I have also proposed that some Air Drops drop their payload on Tier 0 POIs. This could perhaps involve a special POI block to mark where the Air Drop package could land. Perhaps the POI designer places 1+ of those on the POI for some really interesting/awkward drop locations, perhaps with some sleeper volumes around it.

I think remnants are a good idea, but it would be nice if there were also tiers of them as well. They don't all have to be T0 mostly lootless POIs. They could just be mostly destroyed, but still have higher tier loot and enemies but just not be the normal dungeon type POIs. Keep them as non-questable so you'd only see them if you explore. Would be a nice change of pace.

Yeah, that would be ideal. My beef with remnants is that they're basically worthless in terms of loot (don't really care about quests), which is why I consider them wasted space.

They don't involve a significant zombie presence, so putting a bunch of loot in them seems like an appropriate reward.

But what if it were kind of like a lottery? That is, there were a small chance of there being significant loot? How often would you need to "win" that lottery to be interested in looking?

What I really want to get is the sense that the world has been nearly wiped out. Having everything look fairly pristine gives you a sense of the rapture, and not what would have been a crazy fight for survival until all the humans were gone. There would be lots of burned buildings with no fire dept to put them out. The burnt forest needs more burnt/destroyed buildings in order to "Sell the idea" you are in a burnt forest. Right now its mostly just ground clutter. I'd like to see whole groups of buildings burned down, some partial, some to the foundations.

Wasteland, more rubble, more destroyed buildings. The ground texture looks like London in WWII after a carpet bombing yet nearly all the buildings are perfect and very little rubble or piles of things.

You could solve performance issues by using sub biomes. This would create specific areas instead of random scattering.

I just want to see the apocalypse look less like the rapture happened, and more like a fight for survival took place.

Probably 25% or more. I wouldn't mind them having more zombies, it's just, no zombies, no loot, no use, as far as I'm concerned. It's currently not worth my time to go into a remnant, unless it's early game and it's a remnant that potentially has a cooking pot.
