The missed post from woodle

I understand that he missed you something and posted something on YouTube but give him a break I've watched this guy for years this got me interested into this game it made me buy it and I bought this game for other people to play with me about 20 or 30 times. If it wasn't for Jay woodle I wouldn't have got this game. He's been an inspiration and he's probably has made you guys gain revenue in 7 Days to Die more than you ever knew.

I watch him all the time but he knew what he was doing and still has a video with Bandits and chickens on the thumbnail so obviously he wants to carry it on for click bait.
I could fully understand if the TFP blacklisted him from further events.

Not going against Woodle, but yeah if I were him I would have removed the video as soon as I was notified of the error on TFP's part. Sure, most of the people have probably already watched it, but you know...

Woodle isn't the one who screwed up, someone in TFP did. Own up to your own mistake. And how many times has someone from TFP leaked something early in a dev stream (quite a few times that I remember)? There are already those out there claiming that TFP deliberately gave him the wrong key so they would have a reason to attack him in retribution for him finding all the zombie pathing exploits.

Always a conspiracy theorist...

TFP *did* state that they messed up. As far as anything else goes, I don't have any stake in it as I don't like JaWoodle and don't watch anything of his, but I think if I was a well-known content creator for this game, I would choose to remove something that wasn't intended to be shown *IF* TFP asked, including any thumbnail stuff. Did TFP ask? I have no idea. If not, then there's no issue. If they did and he ignored them, that's just inconsiderate at the very least. And TFP would have the right to choose to not allow him to do streamer weekends anymore if they wanted. But that's entirely up to them and nothing anyone here says will change that.

Anyhow, I'm not even sure what the OP is trying to say. Something is lost in translation. I get that JaWoodle posted stuff that was from the wrong version, but the OP doesn't say why we should be giving him a break. Did he get reprimanded? Did TFP tell him to remove stuff? Are people just complaining about him? No idea and the OP doesn't explain.

Didn't think it was an issue until this thread made it one.
Yeah. We had posts like this before. It makes me wonder at the validity of the post... is it an actual opinion being stated about something that happened, or is it just fans promoting JaWoodle either with or without his knowledge?

Where was this? I saw the vid, and JaWoodle's stream afterwards; he seemed genuinely distressed about the situation. Haven't really seen anything "official" putting blame on either side; Crater Creator [1] implied Woodle having used an old version, but nothing in that one was assigning blame to anyone...

From the post:
"Suffice it to say it was not intended for streamers, and by extension viewers, to see that b205 build with bandits. "

"Suffice it to say it was not intended for streamers, and by extension viewers, to see that b205 build with bandits. "
Which is not "TFP stating they messed up", it only states "b205 wasn't meant to be seen by the public".

b205 was (presumably) used to help streamers setup for the job, this wasn't a fault, it was as intended. From there TFP might have messed up timing for the update, JaWoodle may have messed up updating, etc etc.

I think it's incredibly disingenuous to suggest that woodle the noodle posting videos of bandits in 3.0 was accidental. Bandits was supposed to be a big moment for TFP. Have you seen the video? He literally says he's "not going to bury the lead," and then tells us the devs explicitly said bandits aren't in 3.0 — so it's clear he knew. Not sure what Kalex is ranting on about; maybe he needs to get his head out of... out of the sand. AND, out of ALL THE THINGS to make his accidental-on-purpose clickbait video on — it just had to be bandits. The single most meme'd, most anticipated feature TFP has, the feature that a significant portion of the community bashes TFP over the head with a spiked club every time they have a criticism to levy against the team. TFP were clearly saving that reveal. Now that sacred moment has been farmed by woodle the noodle, who knew all of this and posted the video anyway. Our first look at Bandits came through the lens of a charlatan who's only interested in likes, clicks, and subs.

TFP not torching him, not absolutely excoriating woodle the noodle on these forums, is a classy move. I still think its best to tell youtube to take down his video so he's not continuing to profit from it. But let's not pretend, or live in a fantasy land, about what woodle did. He chose clout, and the cost got paid by the studio whose work he was showing off without permission. Watch him if you want — but every click is exactly why he did it. Each view just tells him the math worked and hands him the precise thing he torched the reveal to get. I hope TFP never gives him another creator perk again. He's no friend to this community or to the dev team who've poured countless hours into this game.

I find it hard to believe that it was accidental.

Jawoodle is known for digging into the code. He has long been waiting for the bells to go bong when hit.

It looks more like they are using him, the "source" of the "mutiny", to "create" free, non consequential, drama...to create some positive leaning curiosity and buzz around the game.

it let them preview Bandits and the chicken coop without actually previewing them. They get the feed back for free.

Not the worst idea...at least it shows thinking.

Imagine this:
You have a version of the game.
TFP has approved that for publishing vids about.
It contains bandits in the spawn menu.
It is not the first time a version of bandits have been available like that. Somewhere in the A16 era a hidden bandit version was out and then even utilized by modders.

Would you Not post about the bandits in the spawn menu?

Sure, it might raise some alarms in a thinking brain; but I don't think we can blame woodle for having the clearest of thought...
To make matters worse, you're on a schedule - you want to be the first guy, or at least among the first people to push a 3.0 vid. Starting to contact the TFP streamer managers at that time might postpone your vid by a day, at least (no idea how well the time zones are handled.. if TFP is asleep, are there any comms?).

It said "not intended for streamers, and by extension viewers, to see that b205 build with bandits.". The version is specifically named as being the wrong version for streamers as well as viewers. A clear admission of having messed up.

Its not a crazy idea because its like why did he was given a older versions that happened to have bandits and Chicken coops. I asked capp0 and he said it was patched out for him

BUT ether intentional or mistake i think it was the right call to show people

He shouldve simply asked if bandits were intended to be in that patch or not, it is obvious that its not ready to be shown yet 🤷‍♂️

But those streamers are, as far as i know, unpaid volunteers so TFP shouldve expected some people to act unprofessionally (in general, not aimed at jawoodle) and double or tripple checked everything before handing over the patch.

In my opinion the video should get taken down, and jawoodle shouldnt get blacklisted. Both parties messed up.

I've had to work with volunteer testers in the past and the amount of hand holding you need to do is insane... and there are going to be leaks all over the place.

Reminder, I'm not native, but:
"Suffice it to say it was not intended for streamers, and by extension viewers, to see that b205 build with bandits."
Suffice it to say (= paraphrasing, not a complete statement)
Wasn't intended for // viewers to see, seems like the important part for everyone. Public wasn't supposed to see the WIP.

Wasn't intended for streamers // to see .. seems as valid (but the grammar is weird). But, is that "streamers" actually referring to:
- "the humans that participate in the program"
- "actively streaming the content to public"
Same verbiage, "wasn't intended for streamers", but can refer to both "they were never supposed to have access to that version at all" or "they weren't supposed to stream that version".
The first one would be a "we messed up, or someone hacked us", the second would put the blame on the streamer still or bad comms in between.

Tell me your biased without tell me your biased. Did he ban you from his channel or something? You seem super mad about it.
