Forrest only games?

The only resource that's exclusive to certain biomes is oil shale, and it's absolutely something you don't need a single unit of outside of the biome progression stuff.
Well, good luck getting/finding enough gasoline to fuel your gyrocopter to get you from A to B. From what i've noticed, coal is very abundant in the snow, and nitrate is abundant in the burnt forest than any other biome(s). The forest rarely has any coal and nitrate, much less shale, so you'd be hard pressed to make bullets or run your vehicle without a steady supply of each resource without having to buying em all the time.

You can still find other stuff aside in other biomes aside from oil shale.

But some biomes spawn much more of there other resources
Things like coal and nitrate are pretty scarce in the forest compared to the other biomes, that's why TFP included the other biomes to begin with, besides the fact that Arizona has em in real life (cept for the wasteland).

Uhh... If you only had 1 biome to play on, how would you be able to get materials that are exclusive to certain biomes to get it at, besides from loot boxes, bags and traders?
I see your point. I am not sure, I have never had an issue. I normally change the maps to only Forrest when I play, I seem to do ok. It could cause issues perhaps with more players in the world looking. Good thought. thanks.

...I've made like...100 gas in my current game, and I've got 90k sitting in storage.

You can do fine without shale if you don't mind scrapping a lot of cars. I prefer making it rather than scrapping cars, though. Other resources may be more common in other biomes, but can be found in the forest. And if you have only forest on your map, you have plenty of area where they can be located. But how well that works for you depends entirely on how you play the game. For example, I use almost no nitrate or coal in my games, so it's easy. But others use them a lot and finding enough might be more challenging. Even so, that would be a game option. Those who can't make it work don't have to play a forest only map (or any other specific biome). For those who can play that way, it would be an option they could choose.

Besides, they've made changes so some of the options work better. They can do the same if they made it possible to have a single biome (any one of them). For example, they can make it so all ores have a chance to spawn in that single biome. They'd have to also make it so all traders can spawn in it.
