PC V3.0 Dead Hot Summer Dev Diary

My memory of things was that it took 4-6 weeks to organize a streamer weekend, but didn't some part of that get outsourced? I guess what I'm saying is if somebody is starting a pool for when 3.0 becomes available, I would be looking further out than a couple of weeks from now.

They have the content creator program now so anyone who's part of that is included for the streamer weekend. So no more 4-6 weeks to organize this anymore. They would probably still give people a 1 or 2 weeks head's up.

Does that mean there's no reason to make a call for those content creators to sign up? I mean, what if there were new content creators? They would have to know where to go to registered, I think. Also, wouldn't those content creators potentially have events scheduled out for a week or two and need some advanced warning? I guess they could get that through another channel.
 
Will we get more options in the settings like sound and vibration, I would love to be able to turn off vibration for the vehicles as it just constantly vibrates when driving long distances and can drain batteries in controller and also lower the volume of the auger or vehicles as using them can get annoying especially if you have to drive 5km+ lol

depends on what you think "soon" means.

It's tempting to try to read the tea leaves, to try to divine some deeper meaning from the crumbs...and what else do people have to go on?
many on here have been looking for this to be announced any minute, but, the "vibes" i am getting are that it is still not close enough for them to feel comfortable.
people want it right now... I get it, but, 3.0 might not be ready until July or even August.


@faatal was asked about 3.0 for Mid June and he shot that down...and I believe him. How much longer past that date? that is probably going to continue to go unanswered until "due time" finally comes around...or BI find a Senior Community Manager.

from the outside, it is not unfair to note, that with hindsight, it appears the closer they got to selling the company, the poorer the communication got.

the current state appears to be waiting for Behaviour Interactive to get their people in place before "we" are going to see if communication is going to improve.

No one has mentioned it here recently, that we have a new owner now, so how we do things is changing. Like we actually have marketing and analytics departments. We are still in transition and trying to figure it all out.

There are other game changes. There is a cool new feature for items, but I can't talk about the details yet.

No, it’s never been like this. It’s because they are still transitioning into the new company. They can’t just reveal stuff now on a whim. They have to follow the policies and protocols of the company and it is all still in flux.

TFP has never been completely forthcoming about everything going on behind the scenes but the last couple of months have been unusually silent for sure.
