Bandits and the PvP Achievement

Even before that. I remember a splash load screen from Alpha 9 or 10 that bandits were going to be coming soon. Difference between then and now is that they are now actively working on them. The work log has daily updates for bandit related content.
Weren't bandits actually implemented at some point? But TFP didn't like the way they worked, so they took them out until they could implement them as they envisioned. (Maybe hire more crew specializing in enemy AI or something.)

I don't know what the utter lack of patience with an unfinished game is all about, but there we are.

Yes. You can spawn them in at least A16. They will walk around and shoot zombies. And if I remember correctly, if you try to hit or shoot them it throws an error.

I have a vague memory of Joel showing them off in a YouTube and saying they were going to be in Alpha 18. If memory serves I later heard that yeah, they weren't happy with them at that time.

That trophy was used to "prove" how many people played PvP, and now you're telling me you got it in PvE?
Dayum... Do we have to do that whole statistics discussion again...
The act of doing PvP is playing PvP, regardless of the motivation behind it. If someone queues into a battleground, fights other players, and earns kills or objectives, they played PvP. The fact that an achievement nudged them toward it doesn't change what actually happened.
Based off the steam statistics millions have playd pvp in this game, thats just a fact.

You are or you aren't basing this off of how many people got the PvP achievements?
Roland playd pvp for years in this game before going pve, does that take away the fact he playd pvp even though he is pve now? No, it doesn't because its a fact he playd pvp.

Steam tracks player kills in this game, thats a fact to.
I'm basing it off facts.

Ah that's how i can get those achievements, thank you. I've got 1 player kill, which was by accident 10 years ago. Does that make me a PvP'er?

Technically, I suppose so. I'd say it also means you have more actual player kills than many of the people who have those "PVP" achievements. In other words, it's a meaningless stat when trying to show the number of PVP players.
