I am having an issue with the controls while playing the game on an Android tablet via Steam Link. The game plays fine this way until you are in the vicinity of a hostile enemy. I believe this happens when you enter into the hostile enemies' "detection range", if that makes sense.

What's happening is any time you are attacked, aggro or just close to a hostile enemy, the mouse and keyboard become in a "stuck" state. I'll try to explain the best I can because I haven't made sense of it completely myself. The keyboard becomes unresponsive and will lock itself into the last action you were performing when it locks up, meaning if you were walking forward then you are stuck walking forward. No other keys work and I have not found any solution to manually wake it back up. The mouse on the other hand will become partially unresponsive, you wont be able to look around, cant perform click actions like shooting, however most times you are able to switch to different items on the hotbar via scroll wheel. This lock up seemingly decides at random how long its going to last, could be 3 seconds, could be 10. After the controls lock up and then return function, they seem to work ok for a short time (provided you've survived this long), however if a new hostile enemy becomes in range, it may start all over. If you are lucky during this time to be clicking wildly and occasionally those inputs get passed through and you manage to kill the enemy attacking you, the controls will almost instantly be returned to normal.

Technical Notes:
Playing PC V2.5 via Steam Link
Samsung Tab 5e Android 11 Tablet
Keyboard/Mouse via USB C host cable on a 2-in 1 USB wireless dongle.
Playing on a private hosted server, no mods on server or client.

I primarily play games remotely via Steam Link. This is an isolated issue to this game that isn't experienced on other games. I would love to try using an xbox controller via Bluetooth to see if its isolated to keyboard and mouse but i cant get the game to recognize the controller via Steam Link.

Reproduction Steps
Play via Steam Link, get close to a zombie.

Hi there, I tried to replicate your issue as best I could using Steam link with my phone and a Bluetooth keyboard, wired keyboard/mouse via dongle and an Xbox controller via Bluetooth as well as moving away from my router but couldn't trigger it at all. My best guess would be that your dongle isn't playing nice with something. It might also have something to do with Samsung ending device support for that model of tablet but I would think that far less likely. I also find it strange that Steam Link doesn't recognize your controller's Bluetooth. I will be moving this to "needs more info" in case someone else has a similar problem and can add to the thread. In the mean time you might try testing to see if the keyboard and mouse on the host computer will give you the same problem. You can still use Steam Link for your display but try the keyboard and mouse connected to the host pc for movement, you can also test the keyboard and mouse that you use with the dongle if they're different to see if a wired connection with the same peripherals has the same problem. If possible you could also try a different keyboard and mouse with your dongle to see if the problem persists. For that matter you could even try installing Steam Link on your phone if you're able to and see if the problem might be the tablet.
