Hi all,
I am wanting to move a game that our famliy play together on 7 dtd. But the game is saved on my son's computer, and he is moving away.
Is there a way of moving the saved game from his computer and account and loading into on to my computer? I want to be the host so that we can play the game from my computer.
Some info
We all have steam accounts, and we all have the game purchased the the game.

You're in the Blood Moons forum, but mentioned 7D2D. I'm going to assume you're just in the wrong forum, so the answer below is for 7D2D. If you are talking about Blood Moons, I'm unsure the folder names used by that game as I don't play that one.

The saves and worlds are normally located in C:\Users\[yourusername]\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\ . The easiest option if you're not sure what to copy would be to copy the entire Saves folder and the entire GeneratedWorlds folder. If you're more computer savvy, you can pick out just the worlds you want to keep and just the saves you want to keep.

Note that you should be copying this stuff from whatever computer was the host of your game(s). Also note that it may treat you as a new player instead of an existing player (I don't know this for sure). If so, you'll be at level 1 and may not have anything that was on your toolbelt. You may want to move stuff off your toolbelt before copying just in case. And if it does set you to level 1, you can use the console (F1) and creative menu to get yourself back to where you were before. You'll be able to test this without any worry since you'll still have the original files on the original host computer.

Double check that any mods that you may have had on the original host are also installed on your computer after moving the game. You can just copy the mods folder from that same location if needed. Other than that, I'd recommend posting your log from when you tried loading the save on your computer so someone can look to see what might be causing the error. To find your logs folder, click F1 in the game to open the console and click the Open Logs button at the top right.
