Is this legit?

I don’t keep track of what physical merch the company sells and I don’t buy physical discs for games any longer. I used to years ago but in a strangely parallel fashion to the AI discussion, I made what was once considered to be the controversial shift to digital downloads, virtual libraries, and using the cloud instead of owning physical copies.

Glad someone who buys such things could answer you.
I'm not a big physical media guy either but I do enjoy art books for games.

No idea, though @Adam the Waster says he ordered it. See the link below. Maybe he can verify if he got it.

No there was no ai art in the book. It was great

@Roland You are a member of TFP team.

I'm not asking about AI art.

I want to know if I buy this if the DISC will install the game in my PS5 like it did when I bought the OG game back in whenever the hell it was. I can still install the old game but want the new console version with physical disc.

Can anyone give me a straight answer if this is from TFP or not or dance around AI stuff?
Well no there isn't any so it's well worth it

"Fine art prints." That's rich. AI generated "art" will never be art.
Nope all of it is from like 1.0 and even some like the watcher armor

I never came back to this thread and I thought I should since I was asking if this was legit or not. Turns out it is.

I added my OG version as the first picture. That isn't included in the bundle.

AI produces a mash-up of artists' creations and spits it out as something "new" with no compensation to the actual artist(s) of the elements of said mash-ups whatsoever.

It's a bit like when student artists are inspired by actual artists when they are learning.

Not at all. AI is not sentient, ergo it is incapable of artistic endeavors as imaginative human beings are. That the tech bros insist on anthropomorphizing AI while they try to sell the world on the AI hype would be funny if it weren't so tragic. We're footing the bill for their little plaything, energy grid upgrades and data centers via lost jobs, doubled energy bills and property taxes. Quite a shell game they have going on there. The water and hardware monopolies aren't helping us either. Just look at the cost of DRAM. It's doubled, too, because hardware is being hoarded for the data centers. The CEOs will get richer, though, before their multitrillion dollar debt bubble bursts. Isn't that what matters? Obviously all that matters to them. What's hilarious are their plans to leave us behind, "parasites" and "useless eaters" that we are in their eyes. Ergo, the "apocalypse insurance" (multimillion dollar bunkers) and equally ridiculous plans to colonize Mars since Thiel's "Seasteading Institute" didn't work out so well. It's their "network state" crap (corporate-owned territories free of any and all nations laws and regulations), coming soon to a backyard near you, I can't believe is getting any traction whatsoever. And yet, it is.

Maybe the Jeffelon Zuckergates estate should be renamed. It's Thiel, Balaji, Altman, et alia -- all the guys trying to keep a low profile -- whose plans for all our futures deserve the most ridicule at the moment, imo.

Anyway it's nice to have an AI generated wife... if you don't mind her having 6 fingers in the AI generated picture.
By the way, my other AI generated friend, who I trust, told me that AI is to be fully trusted. So I think we're safe! :)

There is a tendency to see only the benefits and none of the pitfalls of any new technology, isn't there? Specifically regarding the game industry, the massive layoffs of the last few years have disproportionately affected visual artists and narrative designers. I wasn't surprised to see one phenomenon in particular mentioned in the 2025 GDC State of the Industry report as a factor in that disproportionality. Most surprising to me is that ethical concerns have resulted in a sharp rise in the percentage of developers who spurn the technology in their processes; up to 56% of game development is self-funded; and up to 80% of developers are developing PC games. TFP doesn't have the resources and funding of a triple A, I don't think, so they've probably felt had to do what they could with the tools and resources available to them. I neither support nor condemn their AI useage, i.e. generating images to base game models upon. Just like cosmetics stores in or out of video games, the practice has yet to be stigmatized by the public if it ever is.

I wouldn't ignore the shell game, though. That's far more serious still and is already affecting us all, mostly in the detrimental ways outlined. Warren Buffet compares AI to nuclear weapons, but of course that didn't stop him from investing in Alphabet. It's the tech bros' network state nonsense that is most directly impacting us and I can't say I'm particularly enamored of the dystopian science fiction nightmare they've concocted for us. Our times are dystopian enough. AI debt and, therefore, we are just funding the concoction.

"The dystopian science fiction we all loved was intended to be a warning, not a how-to manual." ~ Wil Wheaton <-- lol

I for one hate the fact that lovingly hand-crafted and animated game characters made for important educational purposes can be so easily turned into these horrifying propaganda figures. Like Amelia.

I wonder what conspiracy theories the horse and buggy manufacturers had about Ford about 100 years ago during the “Horseless Carriage Bubble”.

Would that it were a conspiracy theory. The network state strategies are coming straight out of the horses' mouths, as it were, and you can confirm that yourself because their blogs and books and lectures about "freedom for me, but not for thee" are publicly available. What I'd watch out for are all the strategies they're employing for drumming up support for them anywhere they can.
