Windows Problem Migrating Hosts

I have been attempting to hand my friend group's save file over to one of my friends to host instead of me, but every time I hand the save over to him, the world resets everything back to a blank map. As far as I can tell from every guide I can find online, since we're using Pregen 08k02, all I should have to hand over is the save folder from 7DaysToDie/Saves/Pregen08k02 and everything should be fine, but it isn't. What am I missing?

Moar Info needed: Is anyone of you using a dedicated server for hosting? Are your characters like they were or back at lvl 1?

You can either post a logfile of him starting the game or better and much faster, check the logfile yourself. Simply search for pathlines in that textfile. All those paths should have his accountname in it, that is what you can search for. Then you will find out where the game looks for and finds its data. Also check for error messages shortly after it tries loading your savegame, if it actually found it correctly.
