Trap Turrets now setting off Demolition Zombies

Turrets are setting off the Demo zombies button causing them to explode.

Essentially making turrets detrimental to use during horde nights, rendering them useless past gamestage 147.

This is the only change to really upset me.
All the 2.0 things people we're up in arms about didn't faze me at all.
But this cuts deep.

Why bother to allow different ammo types in turrets just to make them unusable.

Tested Shotgun & SMG all ammo types.
 
Okay, honestly, I wanted to do something cool a military style base with thick walls and turrets but I’ve changed my mind.
I don’t need any base. I’m going to handle all the hordes on foot.👍
 
If they are laser guided, then I guess headshots only would apply. If laser is only for sensing, then current operation is appropriate.
 
Depends what you prefer in your gaming experience I guess. I prefer my hoard nights to go off the rails ASAP. I'm always disappointed when demos aren't being set off. Which is maybe why I hadn't noticed this was happening yet: when I see demos coming I immediately make it my mission to detonate them.
 
Still unsure if this is a bug or a feature, if someone like @faatal could weigh in on this, that would be great.

They could at least do it in a way where regular and HP ammo can trigger bombs. There aren’t many demolishers in the mid game, so if you don’t have AP ammo, you take that risk.

If they reduce the amount of ammo you can find, we know they will add it as an option. Using AP ammo actually makes sense you have less ammo overall and it is harder to obtain, but you don’t risk something going wrong during a horde.

AP deals more damage anyway, so it feels like a fair solution for me.
 
Turrets have always had a chance to set off the demo zeds. It's just a higher chance now.
Do you mean automatic or robotic turrets? Because I’m confused that’s totally not true. Robotic ones, yes, but automatic turrets didn’t do that for years. I could place a few automatic turrets in creative, spawn some Demolishers before version 2.5, and there’s no way even one bomb would get triggered.

I’m almost certain that from 1.0 to 2.4 they didn’t do it at all and had no chance of doing so. I could be wrong, but I doubt it. I think Demolishers were added in Alpha 19, and maybe that’s when automatic turrets could trigger them. After that, I don’t think they did it in Alpha 20, 21, 22 I didn’t use them then because I relied on electric fences, but I spent many hours in creative testing different things. You’re mistaken.
