Windows Land Claim Block

I have a massive base I am building and the land claim block only covers 1/4 or less of my base.

Is there a way to increase the coverage of it or have more than 3 blocks? Maybe by editing one of the .xml configs, or via a mod. I could not find any way to do so in the in-game settings.

I set mine to 25 LCB, and have never had to worry about that since.

Welp, that would explain it then, lol. I'll have to wait till my friend comes on discord, so he can walk me through that process. Thanks for the help.

Just out of curiosity, how many LCB are allowed by default in single player?

I tried editing the registry but I have not tested it by trying to pick up turrets and electric fences yet

I tried " Khaine's V1.0 Modlets! (Bigger backpacks, Lockable Slots, Behemoths, Random Wandering Hordes, etc) " and got a red console error and could not start the game.

I really only want to be able to pick up entities. Right now I just lay a block and pick up a turret or whatever and then remove the block to go elsewhere and do the same.

Well I guess I really do not need it that much right now.

I am just building a new base and have yet to move in, so I am cool with just laying down a block here and there and just removing it after I pick up my entities.

I will try using the registry hack when I finish my new base.

In most cases, there isn't a need for a land claim covering your entire base. The main reason for them is to allow moving things around. But that's not something you normally do very often. You can use multiple land claims and place them so they touch one another to expand the area if you want. I've done that on occasion myself. But they aren't really all that necessary.

And as you said, you can very easily just remove one and add a new one at any time. Land claims are very cheap to craft and if you hold the activate button (E by default on PC) to open the radial menu, you can remove it instantly. No need to spend time destroying it. So it's easy enough to move them around if needed, regardless of the number of land claims you have.
 
You can also increase the size if you haven't found it yet. It's on the multiplayer tab of the settings, works for single player too. It only goes up to 71 blocks, but it might help. There have been mods that increased this up to 201 if I recall.

I am playing single player. I did try one mod so far and it gave me a red console error that would not let me enter the game. I will look for different mods eventually.

I use to do this myself if I wanted a larger Land Claim Area. I think it may still work.

I would change the windows.xml file in XUi_menu folder from this...

Obviously you could use a different number from 91 like I did but I am not sure if there is a limit to how big it could be.
Also someone could make a simple modlet to change it which you could then also edit to the size you like.

Ok, so you have to do the following:

type in regedit in your computers search. Should look like this:

You'll end up with 7 day to die highlighted on the left hand side, my eyes are just about shot, but then click on and scroll down the right hand side, to the landclaimcount, click on that. Should look like this:
landclaimcount.jpg

Then just type in your preferred number. I had to click on the decimal button, and just typed in '25'.

Also, there is another setting, landclaimsize, and it seems to work the exact same way. I have no idea if you'll break your game if you increase...
 
Just saw that a few hours ago someone posted a mod on Nexus that adds tons of menu edits and from what I saw it includes the land claim block.
