Mod Menu for consoles with Approved mods

Honestly, with the limited amount of things to do in 7d2d, they really should add a mod menu and mods so PC and console players can enjoy mods. Honestly? I'd be willing to wait on bandits till the heat death of the universe if they added that. For 2.5, me and some friends were planning on getting a server. I'd like to add a server sided mod that increases the amount of zombies wandering around and spawning in towns, but the issue is that you can't mod without EAC being enabled, and you can't play with console players without it being enabled. Obviously with Xbox and other consoles leaning towards allowing steam this may not be an issue in the future, but for now having a mod menu with approved mods would genuinely make the community way more positive towards The Fun Pimps.

Do they? I know I heard that custom POI work, though with the limitations that apply also on PC if not installed locally, such as buttons and keyracks not working and not being able to see them from far away, but I was pretty sure no mods at all worked for console, no matter who hosted. That's what people have been saying all along here. And moderators have been telling people that XML mods wouldn't work because of the overhead and the limitations of consoles (primarily Series S). It has been said that maybe if they were allowed, very small XML mods might work on console, but that any major XML mods or many XML mods could quickly become a problem.

In any case, mod authorization would come from Sony and Microsoft, and unless that can be obtained, I don't see mods being allowed on consoles. Console games that allow mods usually (maybe always?) require the mods to be managed by the developer to allow for verification that they are "safe" and approved and I don't really see TFP spending time doing that.

Regarding PC, there will eventually be Steam Workshop support. We'll have to wait to see how that turns out and what it actually provides for us. Will it allow the game to automatically load the mods you need based on what the host/server has installed? Will it automatically download any custom prefabs that are needed? Or does it just give a repository for mods that people can install manually? Until we know, it's hard to say how beneficial it will be.
