PC V2.0 Storms Brewing Dev Diary

Sounds like my ex!
You too. I thought I was the only one that had rolled snake eyes.
Here's another view of old Jen, new Jen, for comparison:
Waist land diet maybe? I like the lighting though.

@faatal If and this is a big if. If you add a canteen, would it be possible to set it so
it could be tiered, needing "random" drops from upper tier entities, but not during
a blood moon. An example The cops, mainly because until a player can do enough
DPS they explode which naturally decreases, just getting an instant MacGuffin, and
others like a screamer, and the demo guy. Progressively rarer entities, to get the spleen,
or gland or stomach. Or which ever part is added to the recipe.

When used at a campfire instead of a jar, there would be an outline of a pot that
fills with yellow depending on volume, sort of like taking the stamina meter and turning
it vertical, when complete it turns blue, can only be siphoned when complete, so multiple
pots could be added to the fire, one filled with emergency rations, the other just for volume
processing. Then when clicked it fills the canteen representation the same way.

That sounds confusing and weird.

its nice they add new models, but cant they give the traders more...things to do? They only stand around all the time doing nothing, let them walk around in their POI, check on things, eat, sleep etc.

Like someone else said, they feel like reskinned vending machines, spitting out quests.

Give them more behaviors. Would be cool.

That sounds confusing and weird.
@faatal Not that i am concerned either way but if a canteen were to be added, then in my mind I think keeping it simple would be better. Tier 1 (cloth or hide pouch) = 1 or 2 jars of water worth. Tier 2 = (metal, military type) 4 jars worth. Simply filled by placing in a dew collector and allowing to fill over a specific time. simples. Similar to what most other survival game do.

That sounds confusing and weird.
Which part is weird and confusing?
Filling the pot and just representing water as a colored square,
or emptying the pot in the same fashion and not using a jar icon?

Or was it the thought of using more than 1 pot?

The image i wrote about regarding showing volume, is the same
vertical type bar that is used with the Dew Collector now as it fills.

Or is it the way that I expressed it?

I completely agree. Sounds very interesting!

Hey @faatal
What are the chances of us getting 2.5 Experimental today?
Would you say "not good", "50/50" or "very good". (All that while understanding that these are your views and not what might actually happen) 😁

Thank you.

The new model is by far better. The proportions are more realistic. Old Jen's a bit dumpy looking...she's got saddle bags. The new one's in shape. Also, old Jen looks like she's made out of plastic...which some people might be into. I don't know.View attachment 37560
All they have to do now is trade her for Rekt. She lives in the worst biome in the game. Will probably see her once a playthrough.
