This will obviosly never come to the game. It is just my dream.
Add Mutants to the waste-land:
Radiation in the waste-land melted DNS-structures and caused a lot of deformities. This combined with the zombie-virus created a new form of life:
THE MUTANTS.
The mutants do a LOT OF DAMAGE to the player and have extreme high hp-pool. Their only weakness is fire and explosions. If you set them on fire they will take dmg-over-time. For example 1% to 3% max-hp every 1 sec. They should have abilities like jumping, charging at player and rage-mode. As you can see you will not be able to just smash their head.
Options to increase zombie-density:
Increase zombie-density by default. To balance the high numbers of zombies just make them weaker and worth less EXP. Or just give us an option to play how we want.
Fish to the water:
Water needs more love in this game. Add fish to the lakes. Add different fishing rods in the game like "primitive fishing-rod" in the early game that has low durability and can catch only small fish or it will get destroyed. In the late game you can catch bigger fish without damaging the fishing-rod.
The fishing-mechanics doesnt need to be super-realistic.
Food-spoilage:
I know many don´t want food to spoil but I do. Add drying racks, smoker, cool-box and refrigerator to perserve food. Additionally you should be able to find salt in kitchen POI´s. I think this is a very important mechanic in a survival-game.
Salt is good, Salt is love!
Food should not just fill your green-bar. Every food should give you some minor bonuses to encourage players cook better food. For example grilled meat give you +10 max. health for 7 hours. You can stack up max. 3 bonuses at once. Some cake should give you +50 max. stamina, +10% stamina regeneration. You should be able to cook the best food at the electric oven and not at a camp-fire.
Canned food should not spoil.
Remove the magic-potions from the vending-machine. Just add some snacks that just fill your green bar.
