Makes gasoline scarce, and more difficult to craft.

Features

  • Gasoline cannot be harvested from vehicles, gas pumps, or anything else.(It can still be looted from vehicles, gas pumps, or other containers.)
  • Each oil shale yields one can of gas (not 2).
  • Stacks of gasoline hold 1000 cans of gas (not 5000),and cost 800 cans of gas to produce (not 2000).
  • Gasoline, and stacks of gasoline, are twice as expensive to...

Gas Shortage updated to 2.0.1.0

Changes for 2.x:
  • Stacks of gasoline match other resource stack sizes (6000), rather than vanilla (10,000) or this mod's 1.x stack size (1000).
  • Bundles of gasoline match its stack size (6000) and require 80% of the resources it would take to craft the equivalent cans of gas (matching ammo bundles).
  • Bundles of gasoline can no longer be sold to traders (gas cans are still sellable).
Tested with all vanilla 2.x versions (2.0, 2.1, and 2.2 as of this writing).

Thanks for the update, I use several of your mods. An idea for a mod came up on the 7D2D PC Facebook page the other day that seems in the vein of you other mods if you want to take on something new; the camping lanterns are always on. Lantern pickup mods are a bit OP then, but what if they required oil or gas. or a combination of them in "kerosene." I suppose animal fat could work too. I guess after some type of in game timer passes the lantern goes out (downgrades to a dark lantern?) until it is refilled... this would be very cool to go with a mod where non-character electricity is out.

That would be interesting, but it would also require item degradation without any kind of user input or trigger (meaning, on a timer). SphereII is working on something like that for SCore, but I don't think it's production ready yet.

EDIT: Actually there might be other ways to do it... I'll put it on my TODO list, but since I already have about a year's worth of work ahead of me, I probably won't get to it for a while.

There's an item degradation mod on the Nexus (not zilox's mod) that adds battery management to flashlights and NVGs. I have no idea how they did it, but it looks interesting.
