When will you be adding zombies back to the boring barren landscape?

What is there to survive from when there is no threats around?.... and zombies spawning asleep in the exact same place every time in poi's

Who thought of this? the worst idea ever!

I wont even get into the lackluster horde nights with the smart path finding zombies... all you need is a raised path with a few bars to block zombies while you shoot them point black to the face zzz all made on day 1! zero spikes needed like the old days when zombies attacked all sides...

There used to be more zombies around especially in the Wasteland. If I remember right things were changed to what they are now to due to performance issues.

As Sylen said a mod is your best solution at the moment.

You want it to be real crazy? edit walkersim.ini/xml and increase the population per biome. Thats controls the spawn rate.

As for the topic, I'd rather the zombies have like 25% of the health they do now, but be 2-3x as common. Zombies are usually only dangerious in large packs, a few zombies in most movies is a joke to deal with, unless its something like World War Z or Ferals in 7dtd anyway.

Yeah the title says it all. I really like this game. I played the old console version. It may not have been complete but i enjoyed it far more. I always felt like I was in danger when I was out like getting jumped from zombie dog pack while mining or chopping trees. I play this new console version and i dont feel like i am in danger anymore. I can get loads of water with 2 or 3 dew collectors and 3 forges early.

My current playthrough I had electric fences, wire tool, generator, wrench, engines and fuel for Day 7 Horde. Just ridiculous.

Too easy and lack of zombies in the game world and cities makes it not feel dangerous at all. Also getting lots of ammo dropping now off zombies. Just doesnt feel like survival after you get water and kill boars in the burnt forest.

The current game is boring and predictable, it never used to be, they removed 99% of the RANDOM zombies that used to fill the land everywhere, that made you feel you were always on the edge, now you will be lucky to see 1-2 zombies 100 blocks away, not a bother in the world, like living in heaven..., then they put all them zombies in poi's, but they spawn in the exact same position every single time.. so once you know where everything spawns, there is nothing left..
Not to mention them ruining horde nights, before zombies would attack your base from all sides, you would need many spikes and defend all sides of the base, shoot zombies from afar, now with smart path finding zombies all you need is a cheaply made small raised path with a few bars at the end of it to block zombies then shoot them point blank in the face and you never have to move..

It's a shame how far this game has fallen, predictable and boring with no threats...

Also, after all these years, we still only have a handful of the same boring old zombie faces... how hard is it to just add a bunch of new zombies?...... instead they remove many zombies like the farmer zombie, female lumberjack, stripper, wall climbing zombies, footballer....
What do we get? a Yeti and a Mummy?!?!?!?!?!?!?! and different shades of glow in the dark for the same old boring zombies.

There is literally no hope for this game at this point.

We will get more Z´s maybe if 7 days to die 2 ever comes. Consoles and crossplay are the reason. Series S can barely handle the game as it is right now.

So mods are probably your only solution. There is a few spawn mods, ranging from 2x up to 6x spawn rate.

Ahem...We removed so many features thus far.

They removed the more POI specific zombies as they were not a priority for the HD rework such as the footballer which didn't come back as the stadium didn't come back initially. The stripper was changed during the HD update to a new model and the climbing zombie is just the spider zombie but had it's ability to crawl on walls removed.

Tom Clarke Zombie was the wall climber back then. With spider sounds already though. The wall climbing is nothing i miss, it was super easy to cheese with just a pole sticking out on top.

And yeah too many things removed, don´t know what you are trying to say here. Like the spawn rate slider to adjust how many Z`s spawn. Missed that in your other topic.

Simple scaffolding creating a ledge worked too and would prevent them from climbing up and over.

I was teasing that they should remove and "forget" to add crossplay back for the Series S.

With enough optimization you can make things work. Cyberpunk eventually ran on it so this should too. Performance settings may help here.

Well one is a studio with a lot of experience, a way bigger budget and the others are TFP. Also Unitiy engine and voxels with a fully destructable world. Not comparable sadly.

I am running a decent rig with a RX67000, a 13700K and 32GB of RAM. I play on high settings in 1080p and i drop FPS in cities.

Sure, but TFP have implemented tons of improvements for performance over the years and with chunks it should be possible to have dozens of more zombies within view range.
