So Rick sends me on a mission that's 50 yards from the edge of the snow biome. What could go wrong I thought?

I had a game a week or so ago where my spawn point was like 2 steps from the winter biome. First action? Run away!

1 game i had recently. Day 2, man bear pig poi. Spawned in a direwolf lol. Welp, that was a good run.

That dire Wolf spawned on me once too. I went after it anyway because I was drinking rum and Coke. Lol

Shot it in the head with an arrow out of stealth and pulled out my 9 mm. I barely survived with a broken leg, laceration, fatigue.

I just had something similar happen.
I finally got the badge for the Wasteland in my current playthrough. Less than five minutes in the Wasteland and a Dire Wolf breaks my arm.
 
I started a map the other day to test out, I don't think this particular POI actually has a name, but it has 3 plots of farm land with a small 3 door barn in the middle section, usually spawns wolves in it. Well on day 1 I found it and sleeping in it was a direwolf instead of a regular wolf. My tactic for that location is hopping up on the roof and getting my first shot off through the hole with my bow for a sneak attack and then finishing it off with whatever gun I have crafted.
