My wish list for 7 Days. (long time player)

Hi everyone.

After playing this game for a VERY long time (alpha14) and seeing where the game is going, I have to say the game has got a little dead ended, now I know story mode and bandits are coming, but there are things that have been removed tat gave the game a naturel longevity, so here is my wish list of things I'd like to see, many of them are old things made new again, so here goes.


1 - Level 6 weapons special

level 6 weapons (and the promised/hinted tier 7's) need to be more than what they are, we need REASONS to keep going out and doing things, So with that in mind, intergrate the weapon maintanence system. Tier 6's allow one to change out the barrels/receivers/magazines (maybe other parts) as an extra along side mods, these 'parts' improve things like accuracy/reload/refire/ammo capacity and degrade over time, come in different variants, (uncomon/rare/epic) and canot be repaired.

When they hit zero durability (the mods) the guns STILL function, but do not benifit from the parts. This combines old and new versions of weapons, gives players a reason to keep going out, Oh and these parts (like tier 7 weapons) are NOT craftable.

Also, new weapons, there are several mods, Lzayo's weapon mods springs to mind, they have done AMAZING work, SCG defense solutions is another good one for base defenses.

2 - Amour and clothes.


There is NO reason both can't work side by side, The clothes should be able to be used in the customizations slots, simple as that, Some of my best memories were running through the desert, wearing shorts, a sleevless t-shirt, sungasses, baseball cap and a leather duster. (Yes I fany myself as a bit of a Laura Croft, eat me :P

And TFP can STILL sell DLC for new outfits and it works with the current system, but PLEASE TFP, don't get too greedy for cosmetic stuff, keep the price reasonable and you will sell FAR more and make FAR more. Weapon skins/verchail skins/zombie skins, this can makeyou some real money without impacting the game itself.

3 - Verchials

More styles, and some OTHER verchials, a big army truck type thing, huge storage, slower than the 4x4, better at roads, replacable parts for said verchails that make it perform better but deteriate over time, when said parts hit zero durability, the verchail STILL works, it just loses the buff the part provided.

4 - Zombies

MORE - Does anyone rmemeber Alpha 14 when zombies would pour out of buildings if you made too much noise outside, it made cities TERRIFYING. Now I know the current zombie ai means less zombies, so how about a leader system.

Ferals (or a new type) would be leaders, these are the ones that have the same AI as now. ALL other zombies would use the old dumb AI, ya know, the ones that couldnt figure out how to bring down a building, would willingly fall into pits and walk over spikes, they were stupid.

Now if there near a 'Leader' type, they do EXACTLY the same thing the leader is doing, if they can't because they can't get to the leader or the block the leader is hitting, they defualt to the 'dumb' AI.

5 - POI's

First I LOVE the new POI's, whoever is making them, you better be buying them lunch. However I would still VERY much like to see 'Trigger' lines a thing of the past, or IF you have to keep them, have the zombies just be doing the idle walk animation until they have something to go after, walking down a corridor into a room and stepping over an imaginary line that walks up 20 zombies that all IMMEDIATLY kow where you are is not fun.

I have noticed some POI's have wandering zombies in them, and it feels SOO much better, also having zombies wake up becasue I activate a lever/alarm or something also makes PERFECT sense, but pease get rid of the magic line.

Also I LOVE the zombies using vents, please more of this.

6 - Weather Effects

we had them, you removed them, they should come back, we had the mods, we had the food and drink that helped with it, it should be a thing, us having to decide what gear to wear to different biomes SHOULD be a thing.

7 - Jars

I know I know, I'm not advocating for bringing jars back, But you should 100% be able to boil the merky water you find without a cook pot, just pop it on the fire.

Ways you SHOULD be able to cook merky water.

Jars in the fire, these are done one at a time
Jars in a cooking pot, 2-3 jars at a time for a little longer than just a jar in a fire.
Bucket of water - Takes x time, this gives you x bottles of waters worth (buckets should also be lootable, I live on the coast and everyone has at least 5 buckets)
Canteen - New item, Equivilet to a single water jar, if you have a bucket of water in your inventory this is how you drink from it, in addition, you can put a water filter mod into it and refil it from a river/lake.

done, nice and easy, using what we already have

8 - Mod support via steam workshop (I think this is already coming but worth mentioning.


Overall I can see where the game is going/intended to go, and the potential it has, but PLEASE do not hamstring the game on the counts of Hard drive space, RAM and VRAM, Heck, consoles now have 16GB of V-ram so it's not a limitation to worry about these days.
