Headless zombies that won't stop chasing you

I've noticed that you can easily deal with a horde of zombies from a standing position if you only aim for the heads because they die instantly from critical damage, causing their heads to explode, or they stumble and prevent the zombies behind from advancing toward you.

But if some zombies could continue chasing you without their heads and without stumbling, it would force you to think quickly to run or jump to a safe area. It would also force me to use more ammo, which is necessary because I'm constantly stockpiling.

I play on Insane difficulty with the zombies running on Nightmare, and I think it would be quite manageable and would add more fear and risk to the game.

* I've also noticed that when jumping, I can move in the air depending on where I'm looking. This is a problem when escaping from a horde, because jumping and looking back to shoot either stops me or brings me closer to them.

I think that would be more like magic/necromancy zombies while these are virus type zombies which traditionally "die" if the brain is destroyed or otherwise lose control of the body in the event the brain isn't destroyed but the head is removed from the body because what little brain function can no longer transmit signals via the nervous system

Ideas could be imported from other games like Dead Space, where zombies mutate depending on the injury, and the only way to stop them is to process them with a meat grinder. In 7DTD's case, the mutation could be internal without needing to be physically externalized. The idea is to keep the zombie running and add unpredictability to the game.

Hell no. Apart from anything else, zombies are supposed to have the headshot weakspot, thats their thing.

I think maybe they have a 25% chance of chasing you after their head comes off World be neet but then they die in a few seconds

So not zombies?
Well, a safe zone is a two-block-high structure that you can jump or climb over when you're in a real danger situation. Zombies can scale it in a few seconds if they pile up or break a block, but it allows you to calm the situation if you have an M60.

When you do a lot of Level VI missions in Insane-Nightmare, you'll see a very linear pattern that consists only of moving forward and clearing the area, and it becomes repetitive. I've rarely backtracked or truly escaped.

The only time was in a mission in the Iron Mine when I was collecting loot located in a tunnel. A screamer was screaming and digging right above my head and had summoned so many zombies that I was wandering around the entire facility for about five minutes until I managed to climb onto a small control room, but at one point I felt like the whole thing was going to collapse. I could have escaped with the Gyrocopter, but I'm not that kind of player.

Maybe I'll have to play with weaker weapons if I really want to break that pattern lol

I must apologize for my offenses. I thought the game's difficulty was limited to Insane, Nightmare, and Level VI missions. I even said the word "repetitive" once. But I increased the AI's block damage by 300%, reset all skill points, left my m60 stored, and couldn't survive. I see the game differently now, as I consider alternative techniques to deal with this type of gameplay: creating quick concrete platforms, strategic turret placement, stealthy installation of scaffold ladders, tactical structure repair—there's no limit.

Do these headless zombies have bombs for hands, and scream as they run at you?
I think that would make me sweat on more than one occasion.

Logistically, if the zombie had no head, it wouldn't be able to see you. So, how would it be able to attack without a brain to move it's arms or legs, much less knowing where you are?
