Why TF do you not make screamers an option in the settings so people that don't want to mess with them can just get rid of them? If you're going to make storms optional that make them ■■■■ screamers optional.

Option: screamer on/off
Option: heat index (% of heat generation) at which screamer spawns

Reset number to spawn back to1? (Isn't that enough?)

It's not "woke" to articulate a question in a respectful and grown-up manner to increase likelihood of being answered, it is just....common sense.
