I have two turrets at front door base and they 90% of time don't shoot the enemy. When I get close they glitch on and off one activates other deactivates. Also have they been nerfed? Many people cried about them that they needed nerf. Is SM turret better? More responsive?

You can only have 1 junk turret active at a time unless you leveled the skill.

You also need to be within a certain range from your turret for it to be active.

They are a offensive weapon when going out. Not really optimal for base defense, they can be nice vs vultures on horde night depending on your horde base design. Other than that i never use them as defensive weapon. You need points in the robotic inventor skill to have 2 active at the same time.

Shotgun, SMG turrets for defense at home. Those need electricity though.

I will put one on top of my base during horde night. I can't see it, but I can hear it go after the vultures and every now and again I will see a body slowly fall to the ground. It's funny, lol

That's how it works for mine in vanilla 1.3. 2.0 they are bugged out along with zombies.

I have to play with them more in 2.0. I did a lot back in 1.4 ^^
I steel coated a base and put 40 turrets in 1.4 with a 1/4 mile of iron spikes. People here act like I don't know how turrets work. They are Ultra Ego Vegeta.

I don't use Junk turrets I use premium diamond plated barrels with gold rounds legendary grade. Its not good enough cuz I want around 20 SAM's doordashed to my server.

SMG's and Shotguns work better it seems. I will cycle through and test.

Ignoring your sarcasm, if you aren't using junk turrets, were you talking about shotgun turrets or something?

Was the generator producing enough power? Were they angled correctly?

Did he have a motion sensor wired in correctly with the turret?
Did the turret have ammo?
Does the generator have gas?

It is clear that the OP is not interested in having a constructive discussion on the game mechanics here. A number of posts have been removed for rule violations,a nd I am shutting the thread down.
