I want to post a help ticket not a forum thread. I have completed the challenges and turned it in. i have the badge for burnt forest biome, and yet when i go in there, i still only have 5 minutes to live. Screenshot 2025-07-10 090605.pngScreenshot 2025-07-10 090800.png

You need to follow this and provide a log.

Based on your screenshot, I'm guessing it is probably a mod issue. Either that, or you entered the biome while a storm was in effect.

Well, it may well be a mod issue. I changed to my steam server (that was on one i pay gportal to host) in order to remove all the mods and replace them until the issue repeated there. much to my surprise, I was met with a character that had ben around level 50, who was now level 1. So I can't tell if that is the case. But if you had actually played the game and been in a biome while there was a storm raging, you would know that i wouldn't have 5 minutes. I would be told to leave immediately. but thanks for the response.

and if that last part sounded terse, apologies. but if you are going to make a suggestion, at least make it a viable one.

You should also understand that people will say 5 minutes without that being true. And they could have been in the biome for a few minutes before the storm warning and then have the 2 minutes after that warning before taking damage (it is about a minute before the countdown starts). Also, with the changes to storms in 2.1, the time before they start has increased from what I've heard (I haven't tried 2.1 myself), and you didn't indicate the version you were playing. So the comment was still valid.

In any case, if it wasn't a storm, then mods are the likely cause. But without the log that the pinned thread linked to says to post, there isn't anything anyone can do except guess.

And just for reference, everyone who offers help is just another player trying to help. They don't have to help at all. It isn't very often that the devs step in to help, though Jugginator does do so from time to time.

And if you want help, you probably should include enough information for other players to work through your issue. Note I said your issue, because a lot times we don't see the same issue you have. Without things like logs and such, we don't know if the issue lies with a mod that you are running or if the game is sending you warning / error messages that would help other players to track down the issue and provide you options.

i gave a picture of my screen and a description of what happened. let me do that again, and see if maybe you get it this time. I got the burnt forest badge. i still have to drink a smoothie to go in the burnt forest without choking. it does not give me a storm warning, it just chokes me until i die. i gave screenshots depicting my dilema, please refer to those to see that i have completed the challenges and have the badge. note that THERE IS NO WARNING OF A STORM, so the suggestion that a storm might be the problem is a bit on the dim side. what other information is missing? I am on the planet earth, third satellite of the star it orbits. I am in the northern hemisphere of that planet, and within 20 miles of the access node for internet service for my game server.

Again, need the log. I understand what you are saying, but without the log we can't see the details in the back end.

The instructions are pretty clear. You just need to follow them. Don't even need to use a 3rd-party site anymore. You can just attach the log file to the post.

Maybe we should keep saying "post a log", "and see if maybe you get it this time"? See how your responses sound? Maybe storms aren't the cause, but it's a guess made because you didn't follow the instructions (and still haven't) so no one can actually help you. Your pictures show nothing of value and your description in the first post doesn't give any real details. As I said earlier, storms are a valid possibility with the minimal information you provided. If you don't want incorrect guesses to be given, then provide a log from when the problem occurred. If that's too much to ask, then you'll only get guesses that aren't going to be any more helpful to you than the guess of a storm. Or just take the time to figure out which mod is the problem, which as has been stated multiple times, is the likely problem.
