Windows Dedicated Server - How to get rid of Epic garbage?

-Holo-

Running a dedicated server again after a break since A21, but It's getting bombarded with errors and warnings about epicgames nonsense.
I run with steam, on steam and for my friends on steam so I don't want all the extra Epic gobbling up the log with errors and some odd heartbeat to epic?

Crossplatform is disabled in gameservers.xml

the EOS stuff is required. It maps each player to a unique ID. It is a core component of game functionality and allows perma bans of cheaters. If you are only using PC only players you might be able to turn off EAC that might get the desired effect.

The EOS stuff is used as a mapping methodology for UUIDs that are unique across platforms that you can use to assign rights.

EAC is turned off already, gonna try to just block all epic related ■■■■ in outgoing firewall. Epic shouldn't know what I do on games I bought on steam -.-

You would have to edit the platform.cfg file. (which probably won't be an option in future builds)
Then you could lock the dedicated server down to only being on Steam, and only Steam players would be able to join it, though only by using direct IP and Port connection.

That may not fully kill your connection to Epic Online Services, but the server won't require it, and you will be limiting access to your server to the same close-minded people who won't use EoS.

And it will probably have connection issues, but that'll show Epic won't it.

Or stop being a bigot, and accept the improved services offered. Oh, or you could just give up every game that talks to the internet. Just unplug your modem.

Thanks! But were those insults really needed? It's not very professional for a moderator.

Update. Works like a charm to use the platform.cfg. Now there's no spamming of warnings and errors regarding Epic! \o/
