Windows Controller on PC question

I use controller on PC, but it is not working. I used to use 1080P for everything upgraded monitor (65" tv) which is a large screen and not 1080p (if I go to the old 1080p monitor it works is why I think this is the issue). Now the controller inputs work sporadically and is unplayable. I tried settings back to 1080p and that didn't fix it using nvidia rtx 3080 and windows 11. Any ideas other than the dumb "use mouse and keyboard is better anyway"... to each their own!

I can't say I've been having any issues here with my controller. I'm at 1440p. Not entirely sure why screen resolution would make any change.

How is the controller plugged in?
Has Steam detected it, and is using it properly?
Logs? Working and not-working would be good for reference.

It is a scuff Bluetooth controller, also tried xbox elite controller and same thing happens. Both are bluetooth/wireless. I haven't tried with them plugged in, but don't wanna play wired is why I use wireless if that makes sense lol.
Edit: I don't know how to make or go about making logs. Thanks
