Windows Collapsing base

Hi everyone,
(Don't judge the design, I'm playing a new save each time TFP release an update so I won't be remaking a well designed architectural masterpiece every time, I just want efficiency and zombie-proof)

My base collapsed when I came back from a little walk in the nearby town, out of nowhere because it was stable, you can see on the pictures, the part that didn't collapsed was symmetric to the collapsed one, so I don't understand why did it collapsed, especially while the remaining pillars are still in place, so what's the point having pillars if they don't support the structure. This isn't the first time it happens to me, on previous bases during previous play-through in previous updates, and this makes me considering stop playing because what's the point of playing tens of hours just to lost everything in a finger snap... even if I love the game.

Is there any way of permanently fixing it ? I know about the commands to get back my stuff, but this shouldn't even be an issue for a decently stable base.
Any way to contact TFP to let them know it's a common issue ? I've been wandering around in Reddit threads and I'm far from being an isolated case.

Thanks for the responses,
Stay safe out there ;)

Most likely because it is borderline, and is crossing multiple chunks. Secondary reason would be the roof farm.

As you approach the base, the chunks are loaded in as you approach. So one part of your base loads, but the next chunk that contains another part of your base hasn't loaded yet. If the first part relies on structural integrity that exists in the unloaded chunk, then it will fail the SI checks, and collapse.

The other issue is that you already have very weak structural integrity, and have planted a farm. As crops grow, their weight increases, which will over-tax your already weak structural integrity past the breaking point.

yeah the farmplots are definitely a contribution to it. i had to rethink a lot of my roof-gardening because of it. honestly i have been struggling to make better bases because of the weight limitations especially since the update as it seems you can have even less vertical building-room than before
