4th July 2025, 2.0 (b295) Permadeath, bags not dropping on death despite patch notes to the contrary.

Tried on all settings, both on multiplayer remotely hosted world and local world. Backpack never drops on death all items lost. No backpack on map., no backpack upon return to site of death.

Thank you for reporting. I've confirmed this is still an issue and have updated our internal ticket for it

This should be fixed now in V2.1 b7 experimental
From the changelog:

• Permadeath is again dropping player backpack.

But please let us know if you still run into this issue in b7 or later
