My good times are back!

The most I have enjoyed the vanilla game since the before time.
The before time means when, all you had for defense was a stick
of wood, and a 9mm as your main weapons, and you hoped for a
machine gun.

I just updated to 2.1 just to experience the differences. Playing
TWD rules because, the before time for me was when the game felt
like it paralled the series. TWD went through the stages, as far as
weaponry and armor go. I have been systematically stealth clearing the diersville
hospital each night, because my point choices, netted me no backpack
load at night, NVGs, 5k 15 meter safe drop, stealth sprint.
Perfect beginning for a stealth build.

Then a thought hit me why not step out of the safety zone. So I built
a ladder tower during the day to the top of the hospital to wake up the
inhabitants.
Stealth went out the window, and it was on. Rads and Ferals, knocked me
off the ladder before I knew what was what, broke my leg, and swarmed me.
I died of course.

So I had red in my ledger and came for some payback. I proceeded to go
up and wake them again. This time I bow sniped them off the ladders
breaking their legs. I had to intermittently jump on my bike riding around
the front lot, to get some distance because they were ■■■■ed.

Alternating between my wooden bow and adjusted pipe machine gun I have
been cleaning them up. But it has been a long time since my heart was
racing and my hands were shaking as I played.

This is what I have been waiting for, I missed it a lot. It feels dangerous.
My good times are back.

The hospital in Diersville is pretty nasty. I'm a bit past day 100 and I still haven't gone there.
I am not going to spoil it for you. But I can tell you that the spawning change that Laz Man
spoke of is working in full effect, on the roof. I used 300 arrows, 300 762 single shots to the
head repeatedly ran around the roof meleeing, then running down the ladder to the lot for
space and still more are there. I have not finished it yet. I don't use this much ammo on a horde
night. It made the Sadie Witch Ranch in the burnt feel like a cakewalk in comparison.

That will be my end game location to place new lcb, for the top floors. I did it once before like
the Dishong Tower fall back base I did.

Advice if you do get curious and make a ladder to the roof, bring a stack of casts
the ladder fall breaks your leg instantly and have a bike near the landing zone
to get space to heal, or you are likely to be immobile.

I see I made the right choice. lol

@Samcharles
I'm at day 30 on 2 hours, I removed the biome loot boost but left the gamestage advance
to experience the gamestage difficulty flow. So if you are on day 50 at 1 hour, that sounds about the
equivalent. I think I can squeeze a couple more hordes out my stone age level.

Let me know how it turns out.

Be aware of some newer T5 POi´s then. The Hospital is one of the easier ones. Groover HIgh or Mintour Theater for example. Those are crazy.
Now you've made me want to archive this save and use it to go looking for them, and attempt them at my present level.
