Zombie hearing and weather suggestions/wonderings from a casual player

Ive always wondered about zombie hearing in rain throughout my childhood (due to the amount of pop zombie lore I went through). Well to sum it up I wonder what would happen if the zombie attention type of fov whatever you use could be reconfigured during conditions to represent "placeholders" of entity and or player into display of distance and air constraint per block as if they were relying on other senses in the rain. My argument for why this could work for this game is because I think it would work well with this template style of zombie game. Strategic game changing styled environment. Built with survival and replayability mashed together with statistics and levelup combat. If there is anybody with any other ideas I want to see them as I love wild concepts

I don't know if this is what you wanted, but for the most recent experimental zombies have increased hearing during thunderstorms so not only will they have whatever blood moon speed you have set for them, they can also hear us better.

Perhaps I'm being dense, but I don't really understand what you're saying once you start talking of placeholders.

Yes, though important to note "hearing" in this case doesn't necessarily mean hearing with their ears.

Yeah, faatal said a better description for it was increased awareness because they are paying more attention during a storm. So their actual ability to hear isn't increased, but they notice sound more, along with other sensory perception.
