I got something similar on day 4, could not get rid of it, even after looting the box. I have marker off in the prefs menu. So gave up, logged off at the end of the day. When I loaded the same game today, the icon/marker was gone.

I wrote it off as a glitch. I wont see D6 since I am restarting, but if it is repe

Looks like it may have fallen through the terrain. Not even sure if you can actually dig to it.

Yeah, it either fell through the terrain or is in a tree above you.
