Loot not respawning?

Messing around in 2.0 and none of the loot containers- cars, cardboard boxes etc etc have respawned after 7 days. Working as intended or a bug?

from my understanding Its 7 full days after you loot it, so if its day 7 and you looted that contained on day 2, you'll need to wait till the same time day 9. if that isnt working my guess is there is a mod conclict

Any loot containers that are destroyed when looted do not respawn unless you have chunk resets enabled or if reset as part of a quest reset. This is also true for any containers that have a looted/empty state like stoves, fridges, and store shelves.

Unless it's changed, if you come within a certain distance (which is rather far, as I recall) of a container, that also resets the timer for loot to respawn. I know it's working because I've had some boxes/etc. respawn loot (I usually turn loot respawn off, just forgot to this time.)

That's been my experience as well.

If you get too close the timer only resets if the container is empty, by the way. Put a rock (or anything else) in it and you can camp next to it. As long as you don't bother the container until the timer has expired, you don't need to worry about being too close. Just wait until the timer has expired, then remove the filler item. The container should refill immediately. Been like that for a long time.
