Can't find bow parts

Don't have any. None of the traders have any for sale. They have gun parts, I've looted some too. Perhaps I need to loot more in the Burnt Biome
 
I just looted an iron crossbow from a Savage country in Nava. I'm not so worried about bow parts now. Good call

At some point before final release, TFP probably needs to take a look at part distribution vis-a-vis the expected crafting progression. I'm playing an agility build and found at most 1-2 pistol parts in the first 10 days (1 hour days). I ended up buying parts from the traders but the first pistol I crafted was purple because that is where I had gotten with the books. It's possible this was a one-off but I saw someone else making the same comment about the lack of pistol parts. The issue seems to be pistol parts primarily being located in containers that you don't run into until you are doing Tier 3-5 quests. It would nice if it was easier to naturally encounter pistol parts rather than having to target farm certain containers (police cars, etc.) based on knowledge learned from the forums.

2.0 has also introduced zed specific zbags which is another source for parts. Browsing through the loot.xml, I see that soldiers and thug zombies can drop zBags that have a chance to have handgun pistol parts.
 
I'll conceived thought here, but since loot can be tied to specific containers, maybe Zs can be tied as well. I.e. can you make to where if you loot all the cop cars in a certain bind then the puking cops go away?

Anything you can imagine "can" be done in a software, but that doesn't sound easy. Zeds already drop "random loot items", adding a new type of loot item, with a copy of the bag skin and a new list of possible items within; sounds about two rows of xml. (well, twenty, but two changes).

The biome Nor POI spawners are not tied to blocks in any way currently. Unless you want to remove all cop spawns and add them to the cars as POI spawns (essentially only right next to the cars), I don't see an easy way to do that. Rewriting the spawners to track blocks in the world doesn't sound simple.

And think about the chances of pistol parts dropping. They are used not only to create weapons, but also to create turrets. I would like the chance of their dropping to be affected not only by the pistol skill, but also by the turret crafting skill.
 
I just progressed to .44 magnums. There's no way I'm going to build one, I'll need the parts for my SMG
I bought and looted enough for the QL 6 pistol. Now I think I have 2
